Design features of this bit
1) metal face sealed journal bearing
Hj series bit uses journal bearing and metal face seal; It can perform consistently in high speed drilling application.
2) special gage protection on cone
A row of trimmers is added between heel row and gage row compacts. As a result, not only cone shell is protected, but also the borehole wall is properly trimmed.
3) head od reinforcement
Head od are designed with carbide inserts to protect the shirttail and seal to effectively improve the bit's ability to prevent diameter shrinkage.
4) hardfacing on shirttail
This feature can provide better protection for seal and bearing to extend the bit's service life.
5) center nozzle
Center nozzle can avoid bit balling, eliminate fluid stagnant area at bottom hole, increase rising velocity of drilling cuttings, and improve rop, which is suitable for drilling formations from soft to middle soft with low compressive strength and high drillability.
